Ukazoo Book Fairs Book Drives
For larger organizations, hosting a book drive at the same time as a Ukazoo Book Fair is a great way to raise extra funds, with minimal additional work from your volunteers.
How does a book drive work?
Running a book drive is simple. Your organization will collect used books from families, businesses, and members of the community, and store than in a clean, dry space. At the conclusion of your book fair, our staff will pick-up the collected books, and with help from your volunteers will place the books in our large plastic bins on wheels, which each hold 350-400 books.
Your organization will earn $25 for each bin that is filled with books, and will be paid in the form of check or credit card.
Why hold a book drive?
While your organization is advertising your upcoming book fair, you can simultaneously promote your book drive. Encourage people to bring their unwanted books with them to the book fair, where they can drop them off and know that they are supporting your organization. In addition to being easy to implement, a Ukazoo Book Fairs book drive is a great way to raise additional funds for your organization.
Some organizations may wish to hold book drives that last for multiples weeks. Although you do not need to host a book fair in order to run a book drive, if you choose to have both, we recommend scheduling the book fair so that it falls at the end of the book drive.
