Frequently Asked Questions
We are pleased to provide a list of frequently asked questions. If you have a question that is not answered below, contact us, and we’ll do our best to answer your question.

We guarantee in writing that there will never be any charge to your organization for any services provided by Ukazoo Book Fairs. You will never be charged for expenses and will always be paid no less than 35% of total sales.
Your organization will receive 35% of total sales, which, combined with our Zero Cost Guarantee, produces an industry-leading opportunity.
All your organization needs are volunteers, tables, and a location.
We provide sorted, categorized, and boxed books, delivery, assistance with selecting inventory and book fair layout, promotional materials, cash boxes, and a dedicated staff to help you create a successful book fair.
Our staff will deliver your books at least one day prior to your event. Books will arrive boxed by category, and we will unload the boxes and assist you in moving the boxes to your book sale location. At the end of the fair, your volunteers should pack any excess books back in their boxes. Though we do not pick-up leftover books, we will assist you in finding a charitable organization in your area that will pick up the remaining books.
Any large space can successfully hold a book fair. Cafeterias, gymnasiums, church halls, and libraries are examples of great places to host your sale.
Your book fair layout depends on the space where you are holding your fair. We have dedicated staff to assist you in determining the best possible layout.
Volunteers will be in charge of unpacking boxes and placing books on the tables, promoting the fair, collecting money for purchased books, and repacking boxes at the end of the sale. We recommend having at least three to five volunteers staffing the fair at all times, and additional volunteers for set-up and clean-up. For more specific recommendations, please read our Ukazoo Book Fair guide.
Our books are not brand new but remain in great condition. Each book is examined prior to shipment to ensure it is Clean and Tight. All books are guaranteed to be Clean with no underlining, highlighting or coloring, and Tight with no loose pages or torn bindings. We encourage your organization to see the quality of the books for yourselves—we’re happy to mail a random selection of books to you, free of charge. With our Clean and Tight Guarantee, if a book with highlighting or writing is found among the books offered for sale, we will give it away free of charge.
Ukazoo Book Fairs will provide a Ukazoo Book Fair guide to help you plan and run your book fair, as well as other materials, including promotional fliers, suggested book fair layouts, display signs with book categories, and incentive vouchers to help promote your fair. Please visit our Ukazoo Book Fair materials page for examples of some of these materials.
We can tailor your book fair for adults, children, or both. We have over a million fiction and non-fiction books, for all ages and reading levels, and will work with you to create a book fair inventory that will suit your needs.
Every book fair is different, and ultimately, the length of the fair is up to you. Our book fairs can run any day of the week, for as long or as short a period as you want. The most successful fairs are often tied in with other school events such as National Literacy Week, Earth Week (our books are eco-friendly!), parent-teacher conference weeks, and tend to run for multiple days. We’ll work with you to determine the best possible options.
You can request specific books, authors, and categories. While we cannot guarantee that we will have every title, we will work diligently to fulfill every request.
Your book fair customers can pay with cash, check, VISA, or MasterCard.
We offer teachers a 25% discount at all Ukazoo Book Fairs.
No children's book costs more than $3, and all other books cost no more than $5. We provide a number of pricing instructions and pricing promotions to your organization to make the most from your sale.
Currently, we offer Ukazoo Book Fairs in the Mid-Atlantic region (Maryland, Delaware, southern New Jersey, southeastern Pennsylvania, Washington DC, and northern Virginia) and the Mid-West (Ohio, southern Michigan, and eastern Indiana).
Your organization should start planning for a Ukazoo Book Fair at least 4 weeks in advance. To find a more specific timeline, please read our Ukazoo book fair guide.
If you'd like to raise more funds during your book fair, we recommend running a Ukazoo Book Fairs book drive.
Our books come from the Ukazoo.com warehouses, made available to your book fair customers at prices that are even lower than those online.
